Yesterday, I took Lennox to the doctor because he had been running a fever for several days. He's fine but while I was checking in the receptionist said "hey" to Lennox and he stuck his hand up and waved. Then, another lady in the office waved at him and he waved back! He proceeded to wave at the doctor, the nurse, and the fish on the wall! YAY... my baby can wave. I guess most babies wave bye-bye but we wave "hey" at our house. I've been working on waving for a while and I thought he got it about a month ago... turns out he just wanted to grab at what other people had on.
Lennox also figured out how to reach through his crib and get the video monitor cords. Fortunately for him (and for me), I heard the monitor hit the ground and prevented a near strangulation episode! I guess we'll be mounting the monitor on the wall?!
I seem to have misplaced my camera battery charger. I guess I'm going to break down and buy a new camera altogether. Mine is pretty dated anyway. Anyone out there love their reasonably priced, compact camera? Let me know...

Maybe no one else heard it but I DID!
This morning I went to the kitchen to make a bottle and left Lennox on the living room floor. He started fussing because that's his new thing when he sees people leave the room. Anyway, I fixed the bottle and went back to get him. I picked him up and he said "MAMA". I promise he did. Of course, I was home alone but I know that's what he said. It was so sweet to hear him. He has babbled "mamamama, dadadada, heyaiosufieotj" whatever else but this was a distinct "mama." It sounded like a little baby goat. ha. I started jumping around saying, "yes, I'm mama, say mama again..." He just grabbed his bottle. Oh well, I heard it....

TLC
So, like I said, I was impressed with all of the kid's behavior at the zoo. What I'm NOT impressed with, however, is my appearance. I mean, seriously, if anyone out there really loves me would you PLEASE nominate me for What Not to Wear? Obviously, by these pictures (and many others), I do not know what not to wear. I have never been a fashion icon but I used to think I dressed a little bit cute. These days I wear ugly unflattering shirts and I wear them repeatedly because I don't have anything else. I wear either old too tight jeans or new too loose jeans. My hair, now that's a tragedy in itself. I haven't had any color on it in about 8 months and that is oh, so obvious PLUS it's so long all I can do with it is braid it... it's very Duggar-like in style a.k.a, it has no style. I don't wear any makeup most days but I am beginnning to come to the realization that I'm of the age that NEEDS some makeup. What to do.. what to do. I didn't see anyone filming me at the zoo (stacy and clinton) so I'm still holding on to hope that I'm just not observant enough to see them. I was going to go shopping tomorrow but, since I got a ticket this morning going 72 in what I thought was a 70, I guess I'll spend my $250 on that instead. Great!
Kaycee clapping for the sea lion, also called Lilly
Good thing we snapped this picture because 2 seconds later, when Melanie politely retrieved her glasses, someone had a big fat fit. The fit throwing is in full effect lately. He gets really ticked off when you take things away.
Megan, me, Lennox, Mel, Lilly, Goga, MM, Kristy, & Kaycee
On Friday, before Mardi Gras, we went to the Audubon zoo with my friends from work. It was an absolutely beautiful day and all the kids were so well behaved. I don't even think anyone cried! Very impressive. ok, wait, my kid cried. Only at first though. He threw a fit over Melanie's glasses... he was just testing the waters!

6 month stats
Weight: 18lbs 15.5 oz (75th %)
Height: 28 inches (90th %)
Head: ? (95th %)
Hopefully there is big brain in there.
I don't get how they determine what percentile each baby is in. I mean, I can clearly see the plot on the chart but I hear people say their 6 month old is in the 95th percentile for weight but they weigh less than Lennox OR they are in the 80th percentile for height but they are longer... is it really that subjective?
