My sister and my friend Amy generously gave Lennox tons of baby clothes that their boys had worn. Since I had a closet full of clothes for him, I only bought things that I really loved. One particular outfit was a sailor suit and it was my favorite. I got it at Giggles in Oak Grove. I even went back to Giggles to purchase it after a month or so of thinking about this outfit. It was a 9 month and perfect for early spring. I saw it in the closet on Sunday and decided to try it on him to make sure he wasn't going to miss a chance to wear it. Well... fatty mcfatterson is already too big! I'm so mad. I loved that outfit and it's a total _ _ _ cutter. He is 3 months old and has outgrown 9 month clothes? Why is he getting so big?! I am so glad he is healthy and likes to eat but I have lots of 9M & 12M clothes for the spring and summer. He's really cramping my style. As I was considering taking it back to see I could get a bigger size, Lennox puked down the front of it. Oh well...

What a Blessing

So, I have worried about what to do about my job since before I had Lennox. It has never been quite my dream job but I really do love the people here. Anyway, while I was on leave I had so much anxiety about what to do... I really wanted to stay home with Lennox but it is just not financially possible at this point (maybe one day). My sister really turned my thoughts around and encouraged me to pray about it faithfully. She said that God would make things work out if I would let him. So, I really have given it up to Him in the past few weeks. Today on my way back to work I had a plan and I really felt at peace with what I planned to do. I talked to my manager today about changing up my hours so that I can be home more. She was supportive but it had to be approved by several other levels of management who have a different mindset than she does. Anyway, she just called me and dadaadadaaa.... they approved it! I'm so happy. I get to spend more time with Lennox than away from him! This is so great & I'm so relieved & truly thankful!!!!

How long will this last???

Well, I doubt anyone looks at this blog anymore but... I'm back! I haven't had time to blog, I've had a baby to hold!

Today was my first day back at work and after 14 weeks, I still was not ready. I think I've done well though. I left this morning at 5:15 am and I didn't even cry until I was almost to the lake (~40 minutes) and I'm still here after 5 whole hours! jay probably just breathed a sigh of relief because I warned him that I might run out of here crying and never come back. I am meeting with my manager today at 12 to talk about an alternate work schedule. We'll see how she reacts to that! Wish me luck...

I don't have any pictures to post today but I'll get to that soon. We've been birthday partying it up! We went to 4 parties just this weekend. I have to post a picture of the cutest penguin ever. I must say, I think Lennox LOVES his penguin outfit. Who wouldn't love to be sitting in a nylon tube with wings strapped to your arms and a beak hanging in your face???

Texas visit

I stayed at my sister's in Texas for the rest of the week. That's the longest visit we've had in a while. It was great to just hang out and not worry about when I had to leave or get back to work. I wish so much that we could live closer together. Yesterday Avery said "well, I love Lennox but I will not miss him. No, I will not miss him... I love him though." I think that was her way of telling us to hit the road. Anyway, thanks Leah for a great visit.
