The plain old cake ballsI am posting this because I was so proud of myself for being very M. S. (that might stand for Martha Stewart or for Melanie Spring). I made cake balls and cake pops. My friend Mel told me I should make the cupcake cake pops like Bakerella and I laughed. I thought that was way out of my league, being that I'm an amateur at making cake balls. I felt inspired on Friday and decided to try making them for the party favors. I think they turned out pretty cute. They weren't perfect but it's my first try.

OMG! SO IMPRESSED! i was thinking about making these this year for one of the boys' parties. a girl here in town makes them for a good price but is not taking orders now. they are SO GOOD!

laurin - laura and i tried and failed miserably last night to make cake balls - our problem was that the candy melts melted smooth but was very thick and we couldn't get it right - so we just had to eat them instead... laura wants to know what you did to make the stuff go on the balls right... the party looks like it was so much fun!!! Congratulations on a YEAR!!!
