20 months

You recognize the difference in boys & girls. You get most of them right in books but not always in person.

You are saying new words everyday. Just about anything you can repeat but your F's are B's or P's... like fish is "Pish." You have started saying these Alot "OOoo.What dis?" or "ooooOOoo. Who Dat?"

You went on your 3rd airplane ride & cooperated very well. I don't know how people fly alone with toddlers for more than 1.5 hours. I exhausted every means of entertaining you, as well as, myself. You were apparently paying lots of attention at the airport and in the plane. We were watching a show (Golden Girls) and Rose was getting off the plane in the terminal, You said... Oooo... Airpane. In your landscapes book you point at the lake and say "Airpane" because that's what you saw most of the way flying over the swamps.

Out of no where you started recoginizing fleur de lis' and saying "saints."

You went to your 18 month checkup and were 26.2 lbs. Still 2 lbs less than before you had pneumonia. You were 32.5" long but I think that was wrong. You were having a fit & the nurse gave zero effort at accuracy. You were off of your growth curve so that's why I think it's wrong.

I still can't get you to say Lennox, I love you, please, or thank you. Hmmm... I think you're tricking.

I think we're entering the terrible two's or else you've been in a very bad mood lately. You are whining alot and having a fit over nothing... not that fits are new. You usually get REALLY ticked off when I tell you no but you obey, somewhat. Lately you just fall apart over everything though. Maybe it's one of my favorites excuses that "you're just tired" or "you're off your schedule!"

Also, just yesterday I told you no and you yelled NO in my face. Then I grabbed your hand and said "Stop it... you don't tell mommy no" and you said "You STOP!" UGHHHHHHHH.... If only we had not been in a restaurant at the time, I think we could have made that whole "you don't tell mommy no" a little more clear. I also attribute this bad behavior to being in presence of grandparents. You know that they let you do whatever you want so you just try to get away with being sassy pants in front of them. I was informed that "they don't teach him that." Well, duh. Nor do you teach him any rules. Oh, my bp is rising so I'll stop...

That's too funny. I love first sentences. You can really see they're little brains working.

If you point to MM and say "who's this", she says "Baby". Then you point to her and say Mary. She says "Baby".
