Party Time

How cute

See that snaggle tooth!?

For ME again?!

I love being the center of attention!

Happy Birthday Boy!

So the party was Sunday afternoon and I swear I almost worked myself to death. I didn't have a clue how much work goes into parties. I think next year we'll just write someone a check! I think it turned out great though. Of course, as is with all summer birthday parties planned for the outdoors, a thunderstorm started rolling in about 15 minutes before the party started. I was getting really nervous because my house is NOT big enough for all of the kids that were there. Luckily, the rain didn't come down until the party was almost over. PERFECTO! I think Lennox had a good time. He ate his 3rd cup cake. The cake was so cute and matched his outfit perfectly. Thanks for Joni for ordering the cake and making sure it turned out just right. She has the hook up at the bakery!
Gotta run but more pictures of the party to come soon....

The plain old cake balls

I am posting this because I was so proud of myself for being very M. S. (that might stand for Martha Stewart or for Melanie Spring). I made cake balls and cake pops. My friend Mel told me I should make the cupcake cake pops like Bakerella and I laughed. I thought that was way out of my league, being that I'm an amateur at making cake balls. I felt inspired on Friday and decided to try making them for the party favors. I think they turned out pretty cute. They weren't perfect but it's my first try.

The Actual Birthday

Still drooling... since he only has 3 teeth, this will probably last a while

See my cute birthday outfit?! Jay refers to it as a dress!

See how smart he is... he's holding up #1. Or not.

Oooo

So good.

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to... especially if you take away my cupcake

Is it Gone Gone?

What's in here?

I love this car and I will drag you out of it if you try to get in (Reagan & Kinsley know this first hand)

We had a few cupcakes for the family on Lennox's actual birthday. He, once again, thoroughly enjoyed his cupcake. Several of people give me a hard time that I am picky about what Lennox eats. You will all be happy to know that he ate his entire cupcake made with real sugar. He pretty much sucked the icing right off the top. It was pretty funny because he just held it to his mouth and wouldn't put it down. He laughed and giggled all the while the cupcake was stuck to his face.

So Excited

We are getting our pictures taken on Sunday by this photographer

http://www.lifeinmotionphotography.com/photoblog/

I am really excited because I love her work. I found her blog through someone else's before Lennox was born. I really wanted her to do his portraits but she has not been back to our area until this weekend!!! I hope they turn out good.

Panama City Trip

Meme's prescription sunglasses? Cute but probably not great for the eyes!

Sistas!

See how pretty the water was?

I think Lennox sees something Uncle Sammy doesn't... it's not the camera.

The Gregg Family

We just got back from a week in Panama City with my family. It was a great vacation. My aunt, uncle, and cousins from NC met my whole family at the condo. We got to have lots and lots of family fun time! Some, who shall remained unnamed (MVG), might venture to say that we had too much togetherness but I definitely had a great time. Since we don't see each other very often, we have to see each other ALOT all at once. The weather was great the whole week and for about 2 or 3 days the water was perfectly clear and calm, just like a pool. We had a pre-birthday part for Lennox, Everett, & Avery because we won't all be together on their birthdays. Enjoy the pics!

Happy Birthday Lennox (yesterday)

He got scared when Everett screamed (excitedly)!

Here come the cupcakes!

Oooo... thanks Auntie Leah for the thermos

YUM

So I can't believe it but Lennox's first birthday was yesterday. I feel like this has been both the longest and the shortest year of my life. I remember almost every detail of counting down to his arrival, going to the hospital, waiting, waiting, waiting, holding him for hours, you know the drill. It does seem like it was just yesterday, not last year. On the other hand though, I really don't remember my life or my heart without him. He is such a HUGE part of both of them now. He is a funny boy. He is learning new things everyday. It cracks me up how laid back he is most of the time but his temper is unbelievable... not sure where that came from?! He likes to see how things work. It's funny to see him lean down on the ground and stick his head under things to see how it's working. His favorite toys right now are his balls (of course), books, stackable cups, and his stick on ducks in the bath tub. He got a Little Tykes car for his birthday and he loves it. He's not walking yet. I just knew my child was going to be an early walker. Of course, I just knew I was having a girl first too. I guess that makes you realize how much you don't "just know!" Anyway, I know he'll walk when he feels like it so I am just enjoying holding him. Above are some pictures from his pre-birthday celebration at the beach.
