A boy or a robot?

At 2 years and 8 months old, Lennox isn't just a little boy. He is all boy. If you ask him, he is a robot. I don't see much about him that is robot-like except his dance moves. The boy got it honestly!!! If he were really a robot, I would program him to answer me when I ask him a question. Since he is a real boy and not a robot, he usually ignores about 84% of what I ask him. That's on a good day. I end up asking 5 times then he either loses the option he was going to have or I give up and answer myself! I know what you are thinking... he can hear. He is just in another world!

Lennox's new response to questions is "Um Nutting." That is, if he answers them. "Lennox, where are you going?" "Ummm, Nutting!" "Lennox, do you know where your shoes are?" "Um, Nutting!"

Speaking of robots, Lennox and I have started playing some games on the computer. We play on http://www.starfall.com/ to help learn his letters and letter sounds. I don't know if it is helping but I figured I should mix it up a bit. I want him to enjoy learning and to think it is fun! Anyway, I also stumbled on http://www.abcya.com/ and Lennox loves it. There are lots of games that inspire creativity. You can paint, do mazes, count fish, and, yes, make your own robots!! These are Lennox's latest creations. All robots MUST have grabbers (hands) and he currently prefers rollers to legs and feet!

Lennox makes me laugh all of the time. He has been playing in his sand box every day. He loves the sand box! Too bad mosquitoes love the sand box too. He has to scratch the bites because "they bitch!" I don't know what to do about him saying that besides laugh! I say "can you say itch?" and he repeats it with a "BBBBUH-itch!"

Lennox's favorite inside game is still hiding. He wants to hide under the blankets. He also likes for me to stack pillows on top of him and pretend I can't find him until I fall over the pillows. That cracks him up every time! Kids?! Definitely easily amused. When he gets out of the tub, he wants me to either cover his head with the towel "so he can hide" or he wants me to wrap him up in a towel and pretend I found a dinosaur egg. Then he proceeds to crack out of the egg like a baby dinosaur... Yes, I know, weird. Here is the baby dinosaur in his cage. If you are smart, you won't stick your finger in the cage with the dinosaur. He bites!!

Lately he needs some privacy while on the potty. He tells me to go away until he is PPPinished. :) Gladly! He just came in and told me he thinks his peepee needs to potty! ha. He got busy playing in the yard the other day and had an accident in his pants. Jay took them off and he wasnt' finished so he did a little doodie in the yard. When I got home from work Jay said, "Well, Lennox pooped in the yard!" I said, "No way!!! He didn't." Lennox was sitting on the floor and looked at me like I was about to get it. He was completely indignant and said, "YES. I. DID!" Uh, Excuse me! I didn't know he was proud of it!! Don't worry. I explained that poopoo in the yard is from puppies and rabbits, not people.

Lennox is a good big brother. He is sweet to Stella and he runs by and kisses her head or her leg or her foot periodically throughout the day. He likes to lay by her and I catch him telling her things like, "When you get big, you can jump like this... (as he jumps on one foot)" or "When you get big, you can have a Buzz." Speaking of Buzz, he accidentally hit STella in the head with his big Buzz. She let out the saddest cry. He has never really hurt her before and she totally fell apart. He was so sad, he cried too! I was glad to see that he wasn't happy to hurt her.

Morning are not Lennox's best time of day. Every now and then he will wake up happy. Most of the time, not so happy. Or at least not on school days. It is a struggle to get him to brush his teeth and use the potty. He cries and screams and says "I already!" Yes, you did already do this but that was yesterday. Sorry dude but this is going to happen every day for the rest of your life! Life is hard.
