At 10 weeks Stella weighs 11 lbs 10 oz and is 23 1/2 inches. She was in 50th percentile for weight and head circumference, 75th percentile for height. I can't believe she is so tiny compared to her brother. This is good though because she will have more time to wear her clothes :).
Stella still sleeps with me but she usually goes about 7 hours without eating. That would be great for me if I could go to sleep when she does. Stella is such a laid back little girl. She is full of smiles and likes to hold her head up to look around. She talks to her mama the most but she will talk to you too if you can get her to look at you. She likes her baths and she likes her naps. Sometimes she will nap in her swing. She likes to sleep on her side or her stomach. She smiles at Lennox alot and she gets really excited and kicks the monkey on her bouncy seat. She watches the mobile in her pack n play and squeals at it. When it finishes she squawks at me until I wind it up again. She loves her pacifier. She reminds me of a fish on a lure... if you wave the pacifier in front of her mouth she will SNAP it up! It's cute.
Lennox is being such a good boy lately. Just over Christmas he took his conversational skills up a notch. Now he basically uses full sentences, with correct pronouns... not "me hungry" but "I am hungry. I want to eat." or "You want to go outside mama? I do." He still cracks me up on a daily basis. He still "can't like" alot of things but we're working on that. He wants us to tell him stories every night and he tells a few. Lately he "can't tell a story because his story broken. It didn't get pixed (fixed)." ??? I guess it got broken with his sing. His favorite story is the Three Little Pigs. He still likes to read, read, read and draw, draw, draw... He can cut now and he enjoys cutting all things paper. He is great at playing with his toys. He is really into music. I don't know if he has any talent in the music department but he does love it... tamborine, harmonica, hand bells, drums, etc. He had a root canal on his front tooth that he chipped this summer. He didn't even cry! His teeth looked so much better until yesterday. One whole month after the root canal. He fell off the toilet trying to see what was in it and smashed his face. It was pretty scary because blood was everywhere. Now his teeth are chipped again and his lip is mutilated... I hope the dentist can do something to save them. I don't know how we're going to hang on to othem for 4 more years. Speaking of toilet, he is doing really well with potty training... an accident a day isn't too bad. I hope he will continue to do well in that department.
I go back to work tomorrow. Both Lennox and Stella are going to new baby sitters. I wish I could have found someone to keep them both but they will be at different places. Lennox will stay in preschool and go home with one of the teachers. I wish that I could just stay home with them but unfortunately that's not an option at this point. I am going back to part time though! God continues to bless us and provide for us so I cannot complain. I know that I am lucky to have a job and lucky to have a job that will work with me on my schedule!
